Hi everyone, I hope you’re well!
I finally received my February Birchbox this morning and decided I would share this month’s content with you. 🙂
Birchbox is a subscription service where you get 5 luxury beaty treats every month and they are personalised to suit your beauty product. There are a few different ways you can choose to subscribe. The monthly one is £10 plus £2.95 P&P, you can cancel at any time and there is no minimum commitment. Payment is taken at the start of every month so if say you would like to only subscribe for one month, remember to cancel before the end of the month to avoid being charged for your second box and so on. A 6 month subscription is £60 plus £2.95 P&P with your first box being shipped for free. A yearly subscription is £100 plus £2.95 P&P so you receive 2 boxes for free!
If you would like to receive your first box for half the price, click here and follow the instructions on the screen!
The february box is a collaboration with the brand Papier (cards and stationery in the UK) and you have two beautiful desings to choose from. I decided to go with the green fern and it’s prettier than I could imagine.
Long time no see! It’s just been so hard to get back to writing with college and so many other things going on at the same time. So just thought it’ll throw together a little post about how fast money goes the day you get paid.
Isn’t pay day like the most awaited day in your week/month? Because magically as that day approaches you realise how many things you have to buy and boom before you know your pay is gone. (usually on things you don’t even need)
One thing you need to know about me is that I’m obsessed with nail polishes since I stopped biting my nails. And with these recent purchases I’ve gone from 94 to 102 bottles… And that’s kind of impressive if you ask me for someone who had pretty much no nails 2 years ago.
Over the past few weeks I’ve been gathering all the bits and pieces I’ve bought recently to throw together a little haul. Now, if I can actually get around to writing it, you’re in for quite a bit of a lecture because I’ve been buying too much stuff. 😀
So today’s entry is going to be about a mini haul of Sleek Makeup! Boots have a 2 for €14 offer on at the moment. 2 for €14! Though mind yourself it’s probably sold out of stock in your local boots unless you live next to Liffey Valley. If you’re interested in buying some goodies from Sleek and availing of the offer I’d strongly advise to just order online on their website and it’ll get delivered into the boots store of your choice, that’s what I’ve done for my stuff. 🙂
I got 2 eye shadow palettes and their highlighting palette. Continue reading
I haven’t abandoned you or this blog, just been overly busy with college and work. But since I’ve sprained my ankle pretty bad recently, I’m home with plenty of time on my hands so back to writing we go!
Having so much spare time I decided to treat myself to a little bit of retail therapy, lipsticks to be more exact. So off to the Freedom Makeup website I went and God, I fell in love.
With a 3 for 2 mix and match across makeup and 20% off your first order, you really can’t go wrong. Their Facebook page is constantly updated with new offers so make sure to check it out! Continue reading
Hey everyone! Today I want to show you some of my most recent beauty buys, a mini haul you could say. In advance sorry for the dirty makeup brush, forgot to take pictures before using it and haven’t washed it just yet. Some of these products I’ve been using for quite a while now so I’m currently working on reviews for those but got a massive haul coming up as well in a matter of days so that’ll keep me occupied for a while. I was going to write this post as little description of each of these but ended up with mini reviews, oops.
Hello everyone! I decided to start doing a monthly review of the nail colours and designs I had in that month, called Nails of the month (NOTM). So without further hesitation, have a look what I wore during July.
Firstly we have a blue ombre and a glitter ring finger. I stuck the glitter onto a layer of mod podge for easy removal and topped it with a top coat. For the ombre I used Collection 7 day wear nail polish 1.White Out as a base colour. For the ombre Continue reading
Wow in 10 years I’m going to be… 29. That’s pretty scary. I guess life is going to be a lot different than it is now but then again, a lot has changed in the last 10 years as well.
I mean, within the last 10 years I broke my leg, moved to Ireland, finished primary and secondary school, turned 18, got accepted into college and managed to pass the first year of it. I also made and lost some great friends and met so many amazing people it’s crazy. I had my heart broken and probably broke someone else’s heart too. I’ve lost some loved ones and gained new ones. I got my first job and had first real money. I got into trouble for the first time but also got some awards at school. I reached some serious milestones and found myself disappointed numerous times. Continue reading
There’s so many things I’m looking forward to, to be completely honest with you.
I can’t wait to get back to college. Having just finished 1st year, I’m actually buzzing for 2nd year now. I can’t wait to see the girls and get back to the routine I’ve been missing so much lately. Though I bet you once I’m back in I’m going to complain about the timetable and the trains but hey, apache student deals and chicken fillet rolls with sort that out, I’m sure. And I actually miss Dublin. Even though I didn’t live there, I still miss the place. There’s just so much positive vibe in the city, it’s amazing. And you always find something to do, be it go shopping or get food or whatever. Continue reading
Hey everyone! Today I have a special post for you, a Q&A with Aleksandra from fayettemaurelle.wordpress.com. Hope you enjoy finding out more about her and click here to read her blog!
Can you tell me a little bit about yourself and your blog?
Im 20 soon to be 21 years old. Im from Poland but I’ve lived in Ireland for over a decade. Im currently studying Business however last year I was a fashion student in Galway. I believe in fate and destiny and that everything happens for a reason.
Fashion is something I’ve always enjoyed, some people go for a run to relax and get their mind of things I prefer to go shopping. Although I’ve had my blog for quite some time I still think that its work in progress and I’ve still got a lot to work on in order to make it something I can be truly proud of.
What is the story behind your blog name?
One of my favourite books is called Tiger Lily. It’s a re-imagined tale of peter pan told by a fairy –Tinkerbell. Sometime ago I became interested in those imaginary creatures and came upon the name Fayette, Maurelle just sort of came about by itself.
Hey y’all and welcome to day 27 of the 30 day blogging challenge! Today I will show you how to do ombre nails all by yourself and honestly, it’s super easy!
I’m right handed and can never paint my right hand without it looking ridiculous. Therefore lately I’ve been obsessed with ombre-like nails because the whole point in it is that it doesn’t have to be perfect! Happy days for me and all those of you who are really useless with their non dominant hand!
